| North South Collide
formed in Dorset in 2003, and have successfully made their mark on the
local music scene. Originally performing in folk clubs and pubs, they
quickly began playing weddings and other events. In Summer 2005, they
supported Eliza Carthy at Crawley Festival, and performed at several
festivals, including Gillingham Festival, Saltburn International Festival
and Pitlochry Festival. Audiences are impressed by their range of material, including
new arrangements of traditional songs, and their own compositions. John and Sophie are the 2005 winners of the Keith Marsden Memorial singer-songwriter competition, held at Saltburn International Festival. Part of the prize was to appear after Vic Garbutt and the Wilsons and before John Tams and Barry Coope at the final concert of the festival. 'North South Collide' is a professionally produced CD featuring new and traditional music by North South Collide, available at a cost of £10. Please email for further details. Salt Upon the Shore is a musical production written by Sophie and John. For further information, please visit the Salt Upon the Shore website www.timentide.co.uk/saltshore .
